How to choose a massage oil — for the salon and for home
Glide, absorption, scent: what sets a good massage oil apart, and when to choose the anti-cellulite oil.
A good massage begins long before the first stroke — with the choice of oil. It decides how long the hands will glide freely, how the skin will feel after the treatment, and even the mood in the room.
What makes an oil right for massage
- Glide. The oil should allow long, even work, without absorbing too quickly and without needing to be topped up constantly.
- Lightness. A good blend does not feel heavy and does not leave a greasy film long after the treatment.
- Care for the skin. Plant oils such as almond, macadamia and grape seed soften and hydrate.
- Scent. Delicate and unobtrusive — so that it supports the feeling of relaxation.
Le’Spa massage oil
The blend of sweet almond, grape seed and macadamia gives a long, silken glide and suits every skin type. It helps the body warm up and deepens the relaxing effect of the massage, leaving the skin soft and hydrated.
When to choose the anti-cellulite oil
For sculpting massage of the problem areas, professionals choose Le’Spa anti-cellulite oil. Here, essential oils of eucalyptus, mint, ginger and cinnamon are added to almond oil — for a warming, invigorating sensation and a fresh scent. It is intended for professional use and should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
A few tips from the treatment room
- Warm the oil in your palms before you touch the skin.
- Begin and end the massage with long, enveloping strokes.
- Work from the extremities towards the heart.
- After the massage, let the body rest for a few minutes under a warm towel.
