The scrub: why every body ritual begins with it
How a scrub prepares the skin for the care that follows, how often to use it, and what to apply afterwards.
The skin renews itself constantly — new cells move towards the surface while old ones are gradually shed. Sometimes this process needs a little help. That is when the scrub takes the stage.
What a scrub does
A mechanical scrub lifts dead cells from the surface of the skin with the help of fine particles. The result is felt at once: the skin is smoother, softer and more even-looking. It also responds better to the products that follow — the oils, creams and massage gel.
That is why the scrub is always the first step in professional body treatments — it prepares the skin for the therapy that follows.
Le’Spa body scrub
It is a light emulsion with fine apricot kernel particles. Grape seed and sesame oils, hyaluronic acid and aloe vera juice keep the skin supple, elastic and velvety soft, and the scent of grape seed makes the treatment a pleasure.
How to use it
- Apply the scrub over the whole area to be treated.
- Leave it for a few minutes.
- Massage with gentle circular movements and remove the residue.
- Finish with hydrating milk or with the treatment that follows.
How often
At home, once or twice a week is quite enough. In the salon, the scrub is performed before every body treatment.
When to wait
- Do not use a scrub on irritated or broken skin, or immediately after hair removal.
- Le’Spa body scrub is not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or in case of sensitivity to essential oils.
